Wanda Elizabeth (Lundy) Francis -- June 27, 1897 – August 12, 1964
MRS. O. W. FRANCIS
Osage – Mrs. Otho W. Francis, 67, died Wednesday in the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital following a heart attack. She had been hospitalized 10 days ago with a fractured leg.
Funeral services will be held at the First Methodist Church here with burial in the Osage Cemetery. The time has not been set.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lundy, Wanda Elizabeth Lundy was born June 27, 1897, in New Providence. She was graduated from the Iowa Falls High School and taught in rural schools before her marriage in 1917. They farmed near Osage until retiring to town in 1949.
Surviving are her husband, three sons; Melvin, LeRoy, Minnesota; Keith, St. Ansgar; Gerald, New Haven; three daughters; Mrs. John (Maxine) Dostart, Waterloo; Mrs. Bernard (Betty) Kleckner, Orchard; Mrs. Louis J. (Juanita) Halvorson, Osage; 23 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters; Mrs. Theodore Schaa, Eldora; Ms. Guy Coyier, Clear Lake; and a brother; Orris Lundy, Klemme.
