Funeral services for Mrs. Svend (Olga) Pedersen, 73, of Albert Lea, Minn. and formerly of St. Ansgar, who died Monday, January 9, 1989 at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea, were held Wednesday, January 11 at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar.
Mrs. Pedersen was born December 20, 1915 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, to Rudolph and Emma (Jordan) Pahl. She attended school through the eighth grade. She married Svend Pedersen in 1941 in Austin, Minnesota.
She was an active leader in the 4-H organization for many years and was a member of First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar. She has lived in Albert Lea, for the past 2 1/2 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son.
Survivors include two daughters, Twilla and John Hammond of Nashua, Diann and Don King of Albert Lea, Minn.; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Orville Pahl of Hastings, Minn., one sister, Mrs. Albert (Lucille) Brandt of Austin, Minn.
Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
