Obituary--
Mrs. Helfritz, whose maiden name was Wilhelmina Jonas, was born in Germany on September 19, 1831. She passed away Saturday a.m. at the home of her son, Rudolph Helfritz in St. Ansgar, Iowa, January 28, 1905, at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 9 days.
In 1854 she came to America and the same year was married to Reinhold Helfritz. Their home was in Wisconsin until 1868 when they moved to St. Ansgar, Iowa.
The home was broken by the husband's death in 1880, his age being 51 years.
There were eight children born to them, of whom Otto and Rudolph are the only ones living. Dr. Metha Jonas died 10 years ago at the age of 38. Louise passed away at the age of 22. The other children all died while young.
For some years, especially the last seven, Mrs. Helfritz has suffered greatly with neuralgia. The immediate cause of her death, however, was pneumonia and in the end she passed quietly and peacefully away.
She became a member of the M. E. church in 1893 and gave evidence of her devotion and faith.
The funeral was held Monday at the home of her son, R. Helfritz, and conducted by her pastor, Rev. Wyatt.
