RITES HELD AT OSAGE FOR MRS. HENDERSON, 74

Osage, Jan. 30 – Funeral services for Mrs. Charles W. Henderson, 74, who died Saturday, were held this afternoon at the Champion Funeral Home and burial made at Osage Cemetery.

Her husband died about 19 years ago.

Three sons, Bert Henderson, Osage; Jesse R., Minneapolis; and Clyde, Lansing Michigan; a daughter; Mrs. O. E. Kusch, Mankato, Minnesota; a brother; Henry Walker, Osage; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive.

Lura Ann Walker was born December 1858 in Iowa, the daughter of Roswell Walker and Ann (Raymond) Walker. She married Charles W. Henderson in 1872 in Osage, Mitchell Co, IA, the son of George W. Henderson and Caroline Briggs. (birth date is from 1900 Census; parents from 1925 Census).

Her father died in 1877 and is buried in the Riverside, Rockford, Floyd, Iowa Cemetery.

Her mother in the 1880 Census was living in Floyd, Floyd, Iowa age 49 born Canada, with her brother Washington Raymond 33 born New York. The Raymonds’ mother , Amanda Raymond 71 born Canada was also living with them.

The daughter mentioned in the obit was born Rosa Beatrice Henderson on July 31, 1892 in Mitchell Co., Iowa (Iowa birth and christening records).
