Laura Huesselmann was born November 1877 in Osage, Mitchell, Iowa, the daughter of Herman Huesselmann Sr., and Katherine (Brill) Huesselmann. (1900 Census).

She married Jacob “Jake” Haberkorn, the son of Carl and Bettie (Mueller) Haberkorn. They had two children, a daughter who was born/died May 1, 1912 who is buried in the Osage Cemetery, and Myrtle Grace Haberkorn born abt 1914, who died March 26, 1988 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Laura must have gone to the state hospital before 1917 because the daughter Myrtle is living with Jakes parents in 1925 and her dad is already remarried.

Jake married a 2nd time to Katherine May Stoltenberg. Iowa birth records show a daughter Virginia Lois Haberkorn born August 2, 1917 in Mitchell Co., and a son Irwin Vaughn Haberkorn born September 29, 1919 in Orchard.
Jake and Katherine are buried in the Orchard Cemetery.
