CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Judy E. Schilling, 72, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, September 5, 2011, in Lancaster, Missouri.

She was born on July 3, 1939, in Floyd, Iowa, the daughter of Harry "Doc" and Eunice Stewart Field. She married Robert F. "Bob" Schilling on November 28, 1964, in Stacyville. He died Dec. 17, 2010.

Mrs. Schilling graduated from Osage High School and St. Mary's Hospital LPN School, Rochester, Minn. She was a licensed practical nurse at both the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home (NewAldaya Lifescapes) and Cedar Falls Healthcare Center. She also was a member of the Senior Activity Center in Cedar Falls and the Sartori Memorial Hospital Diabetic Support Group.

Survived by a son, Kurt (Wendy) of St. Paul Park, Minnesota; three daughters, Kari (Leon) Peters of Bloomington, Illinois, Sara (Jim) Baratta of South Elgin, Illinois, and Amy (Brian) Davison of Janesville; 10 grandchildren, Leon Michael, Kristina, Emma, Sofie, Hallie, Emmett, Marshall, Michael, Ryan (Josie) and Brandon; a great-grandchild, Willow; her mother of Charles City; two brothers, Edward Field of Charles City and Kenneth Field of Mason City; and two sisters, Patricia (Deryl) Swedberg of Lancaster and Ginger Shipman of Nora Springs.

Preceded in death by her father; an infant son, Michael; an infant granddaughter; and a brother, Roger Field.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, preceded by an hour of visitation, with inurnment at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the American Heart Association.
