OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral rites will be sometime Friday at the John Bakkum home, for Harlan Holmquist, age 21, who died Sunday at a Sioux Falls, South Dakota, hospital. Burial in the Osage cemetery.

He was born April 8, 1928 to August and Hannah Weckwerth Holmquist at Milbank, South Dakota. He served in the U.S. navy.

Survivors include his wife and son, Tyrone, of Spearfish, South Dakota; his parents at Osage; four sisters: Mrs. Lloyd Hoberg, Waseca, Minn.; Mrs. John Bakkum, Osage; Mrs. Fred Julius, Big Stone City, South Dakota; Mrs. Walter J. Mueller, Marvin, South Dakota, and two brothers, August Jr., of Osage, and Charles, of Ft. Benning, Georgia.

An inquest to be held Tuesday to determine cause of death.
