Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 1, 1986 at Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell, for Aldene Bower, 64, of rural Mitchell. Rev. Charles Bunk officiated and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Mrs. Bower died Wednesday, February 26, at Mitchell County Hospital in Osage.
She was born in Riceville on November 27, 1921, the daughter of Lloyd and Olga (Anderson) Rucker. She graduated from Osage High School in 1941 and the Burlington School of Nursing in 1944.
Aldene and Keith Bower were united in marriage on August 12, 1945 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Osage.
Mrs. Bower was a member of Eastern Star, the U.N.I. Club and Faith Lutheran ALCW.
She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, Keith, and daughter, Sandra Kay.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Arthur (Olga) Nelson of Decorah; one daughter, Mrs. Russell (Dorene) Hintz of rural Osage; two sons, Kenneth of Eugene, Oregon and Dennis of Osage; one sister, Mrs. James (Glenna) Lence of St. Paul Park, Minnesota; three brothers, George Godfrey of Marshalltown, Iowa, Kenneth Rucker of Tucson, Arizona, and Leland Rucker of Sacramento, Calif., and eight grandchildren.
