Kari Golberg was born in Gol, Hallingdal, Norway, January 29, 1855 of Tidemand and Kari Golberg. She was baptized March 31st of the same year. At the age of 15 she was confirmed in the Christian faith. In 1871, she, together with father, brothers and sister, immigrated to America. Her mother died before they left Norway. Her father died in Gol, Norway in 1912.

She came directly to St. Ansgar and has resided here since then. December 29, 1883, she was united in marriage to Ole E. Olson. This union was blessed with three children, Ervin, Oliver and Palmer, all of St. Ansgar.

Mrs. Olson was in good health until three years ago when she suffered a stroke. She had regained her health, but on November 14th she suffered another stoke which proved fatal. She passed away November 16th, 1929 at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 18 days. She was a firm believer in Christ as her Savior and was always a kind and loving mother.

She leaves to mourn her departure from this world her three sons: Ervin G. Olson, Oliver C. and Palmer C.; one sister, Mrs. Leva Martinson of Bellingham, Wash.; and other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, at 1:45 at the home and at 2:00 o'clock at the First Lutheran church, the Rev. Olaf A. Langehough officiating. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
