Marlow D Angell
March 14, 1936 – January 27, 2001
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 1, 2001 at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, for Marlow D. Angell, age 64, of Osage. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Hanson officiated. He died suddenly Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001 at his home of natural causes. Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, in charge of arrangements.
Marlow D. Angell was born March 14, 1936 on the family farm in Burr Oak Township, rural Osage, the son of Rollin and Claire (Erkanbrack) Angell. Marlow attended Osage schools and graduated from Osage High School in 1954. After graduation, he attended Iowa State University in Ames.
He was united in marriage to Sonja Weinschenk on May 4, 1957 in Osage. Marlow was a partner with Tom Foth in T & M Plumbing in Osage. In January 1963, he purchased the Osage Cleaners which he ran until January 1995. Marlow was a member of the Osage Fire Department for 22 years. He was an avid fan and supporter of Osage sports. He especially enjoyed following and spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and an infant brother.
Those that survive him include his wife, Sonja Angell of Osage; two sons, Kurt and wife, Marsha and their children, Tiffany and Adam of Osage and Kent and wife, Deb and their children, Melissa, Travis, Katie and Jordan of Osage; a sister Helen Tubbs of Osage and a brother Andy Angell of Osage.
