NIESS, Veronica
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 24, 1985, for Veronica Niess, 60, of Squaw Lake, Minnesota, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer. Rev. T. Carpender officiated and burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meyer. She died on Thursday, December 19, 1985, at a Bemidji, Minn., hospital.
Mrs. Niess was born in New York City to Steven and Sophia Strancek. She and her husband lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico and retired to Squaw Lake three years ago.
Survivors include her husband, Francis of Squaw Lake, Formerly of Stacyville; two daughters, Mrs. David (Cathy) Paraddy of Apple Valley, Calif., and Mrs. David (Celia) Price of Albuquerque; one son, Steven of Apple Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren; one sister, Josie Bankowski of Middletown, Conn.; and a brother, Steven Strancek of Windsor Locks, Conn.
