BURIAL FOR RESIDENT OF LEROY AT MCINTIRE

LeRoy, Minn. – William Menees, who lived here seven years, died at his home Tuesday from heart disease.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Ray and Kenneth of LeRoy; two stepchildren; Mrs. Milo Morse of Grand Meadow; and Arthur Holland of New Richmond Wisconsin.

Funeral services were held Thursday at the home with burial in Wayne Cemetery at McIntire.

Wiliam P. Menees was born January 1869 in Illinois according to the 1900 Mills, Bond, Illinois Census and the 1925 Iowa Census, the son of John H. and Ellen (Morse) Menees.

He married Effie Belle Weaver, the widow of (?) Holland. In the 1900 Census she was living in New Lisbon, Stoddard, Missouri with her parents James and Virginia (Chatman) Weber and is listed as a widow with the two children; Arthur and Cecile.

Effie was born May 1874 in Illinois and died July 29, 1953 in Mower Co., Minnesota. (as per 1900; 1925 Census records and Minnesota death record.

***His stepchildren:

(a) Arthur Franklin Holland born January 2, 1893 in Missouri; died October 7, 1978 in Minnesota (mother Weaver as per Minnesota death record)

(b) Cecile Holland born February 21, 1895 in Illinois, died April 1990. She married Milo Dee Morse born August 24, 1893 in Minnesota; died February 1975. They are buried in Saint Patricks Cemetery, LeRoy, Mower, Minnesota

***His children:

(c) Henry Raymond Menees born May 26, 1905 in Illinois; died August 12, 1986 Minnesota (his SS death record just has Ray Menees)

(d) Kenneth W Menees born September 21, 1910 in Illinois; died May 26, 1992 in Michigan
