COLTON, 75, SUCCUMBS AT OSAGE FARM HOME

Osage, March 20. – Dick Colton, 75, died Tuesday afternoon following about three days’ illness, at his farm home between Osage and Orchard.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Clayton, and two sisters, Sylvia Colton, living near Orchard, and Mrs. Alfred Chatman of Osage.

George Dick Colton was born June 1859 in Missouri, the son of George Colton and Diana (Vanvoltenburg) Colton. He married Lena Belle Bilharz, the daughter of Louis Bilharz and Anna (Schmidt) Bilharz. (1900 & 1925 Iowa Census West Lincoln, Mitchell, Iowa).

Their son Clayton mentioned in the obit was born George Clayton Colton born February 15, 1891.
