CHARLES GEORGE EAGLE SERVICES HELD; BURIAL AT RICEVILLE CEMETERY
Funeral services for Charles George Eagle, 67, who died at his home, 211 ½ Second Street Southwest, Tuesday following an illness, were held at the Patterson Funeral Home Thursday afternoon with Doctor Paul Arnold Peterson of the Wesley Methodist Church in charge.
Mrs. Fern Herrold sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Safe in the arms of Jesus,” Mrs. R. E. Patton accompanied at the organ.
Mr. Eagle formerly resided in South Dakota, where he was sheriff of Spink and Brown Counties for several years. Later he moved to Mason City, where he was employed as an engineer for the gas company. He was a carpenter by trade.
Pallbearers were Theodore Bohn, Joe Leopold, Frank D. Brysant, and W. E. Mulkey.
Burial was at the Riceville Cemetery, where the Rev. E. Bodenham, pastor of the Methodist Church of Riceville, was in charge of services.Mason City Globe Gazette, Friday, September 19, 1941

Charles Eagle was the son of Daniel H Eagle and Georgianna (Harris) Eagle. His parents are also buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville. In the 1900 US Census, he was living in Conde, Spink, South Dakota and birth date was March 1872 in Iowa.
