LARSON DIED THURSDAY
Kenneth E. Larson, 60, manager of the Farmers Mutual Insurance Association, died Thursday, August 12, 1982, in a Rochester, Minnesota hospital where he was a patient after suffering a heart attack.
Mr. Larson's funeral was held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, August 16, with the Reverend Joseph Nesheim and the Reverend Harold Larsen officiating. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
Kenneth Elmer Larson was born April 3, 1922, in East Cedar Township, the son of Elmer and Alice Lundene Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at Rock Creek Lutheran Church. He was a graduate of Osage High School and AIB in Des Moines.
Kenneth Larson and Gladys Dykstra were married April 6, 1950, in Morrison, Illinois. He had been associated with the Farmers Mutual Insurance Association in Osage for the past 30 years and was its manager. Larson was serving on the board of directors of Grinell Mutual Reinsurance Company at the time of his death.
He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Osage Kiwanis Club.
His survivors are his wife, Gladys, a daughter, Sharon, of Iowa City, three sons, Jim and Paul of Rudd, and John of Houston, Texas, six grandchildren and brothers Donald of Osage and Leland of Emmetsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
