THE OBITUARY OF MRS. EMILIE KRUEGER
Mrs. Emilie Krueger, nee Mielke, was born December 23, 1853, at Watertown, Wisconsin. Here she was also baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church.
In 1866 she moved with her parents to Leeds, Columbia County, Wisconsin. At this place she was married to Mr. Frederick Krueger. Their union was blessed with three children.
After coming to Iowa they lived on the farm near St. Ansgar and Grafton for some time until they retired to live at St. Ansgar the rest of their lives.
Mrs. Krueger died Saturday, March 14, [1925] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leo Bublitz, where she had been taken care of during her last illness.
Mr. Krueger having passed away in 1912 she now is survived by her son, Leonard Krueger, of Grafton; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Bublitz of St. Ansgar and Mrs. Frank Gaffney of Cedar Falls, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters.
She attained an age of 71 years 2 months and 21 days.
Funeral services were held last Wednesday at Immanuel's Lutheran Church and Cemetery, Reverend Brammer officiating.
