EDYTH TYER

Funeral services for Mrs. Horace Tyer, 81, were held Friday at the Baptist Church in Osage with the Reverend George Hope, pastor, in charge. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons, with burial in the Osage Cemetery.

Mrs. Tyer died at the White House nursing home in Osage, August 5. She had been in failing health several months.

Edyth Marie Tyer was born on October 15, 1898, the daughter of George and Margaret Peters Fredricks. She was one of 12 children. She was confirmed at the German Lutheran Church at Minonk, Illinois, April 5, 1914. She was working in Osage when she met and married Horace Tyer December 24, 1927 in the Baptist parsonage. Mrs. Tyer was baptized April 9, 1933 at the Baptist Church in Osage and was a member of the choir for some time.

Surviving are her husband, Horace; a son Robert of Clear Lake; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, George of Nora Springs, Elmer of Mason City and Ted of Rockford; two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Casebolt of Mason City and Mrs. Margaret Nauman of Floyd.
