FUNERAL RITES TO BE SATURDAY, BURIAL AT DEER CREEK CEMETERY

Anton M. Pederson, 74, Northwood, died Wednesday afternoon at a local hospital from heart disease, following an illness of several months.

He had made his home with his sister, Mrs. A. P. Anderson, 228 Twenty-first Street Southeast, since last November.

Mr. Pederson was born in Norway, near Oslo, and came to America when 20 years of age. He spent most of his life in Northwood and Deer Creek.

Surviving Mr. Pederson are his sister and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Pederson had never married.

Funeral services will be held at the Sorenson Funeral Home at Northwood at 1:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon and at the North Deer Creek Church at 2 o’clock. Burial will be at the Deer Creek Cemetery.

According to the 1900 US Census: Deer Creek, Worth, Iowa; Anton was born November 1866 in Norway.

His sister mentioned in the obit above is Mary Anderson, the wife of Andrew Anderson. Both of them are buried in the Deer Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Mitchell Co., Iowa
