William Frederick Kanzenbach 1873-1957
W. F. KANZENBACH RITES MONDAY AT GRAFTON
Grafton – Funeral rites will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the family home and at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church for William Frederick Kanzenbach, 84, who died Thursday at the Rockford Convalescent Home.
In charge of services will be the Rev. Carlton F. Rohr, with burial in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.Born at Lomira, Wisconsin, August 15, 1873, Mr. Kannenbach came to Mitchell County in 1893 and lived in the Grafton area. He was a mail carrier, manager of the Smith Lumber Yards, and a carpenter. He was married to Martha Beyer June 18, 1902.
Survivors include his wife; 5 sons; Melvin, Tucson, Arizona; Herman, Grafton; Arthur, Mason City; Wilmer, Faribault, Minn.; and Reuben, Albert Lea, Minn.; 3 daughters; Mrs. Leona Foley, Northwood; Mrs. Ruth Smith, Grafton; and Miss Irene Kanzenbach, at home.
There are 16 grandchildren, brother Robert, of Green Valley, Wisconsin; and 2 sisters; Mrs. Lydia Herning, Green Valley, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Alma gerke, Mayville, Wisconsin.
