Funeral services for Carl H. Nelson, 70, of Lyle, who died Tuesday, November 27, were held Thursday, November 29 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Don Hamilton officiating.
Carl H. Nelson was born July 1, 1892 in St. Ansgar Township, St. Ansgar. He was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran church.
He was united in marriage with Annie Libersky at Osage, Iowa March 10, 1915. They established their home north of St. Ansgar where he has resided the past 63 years.
Three children were born to this union. Orrie; Annabelle, (Mrs. A.P. Kleckner) of Hampton, Carol Ann (Mrs. Lowell Macken) of Rochester, Minn. He was preceded in death by his son, Orrie, Mother and Father, Brother Andrew.
He is survived by his wife, Annie; two daughters, four grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. J.P. Hansen (Mary) Otranto, Mrs. W.J. Tyrrell (Lena) Osage; and Mrs. Charles Libersky (Laura), of St. Ansgar.
