Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Schultz, 86, of Osage, Iowa, were held on Monday October 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage. The Rev. Kit Belk officiated, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. She died on Friday, October 18, 1985, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage.
She was born on June 12, 1899 near Victor, Iowa, to the Rev. Otto and Frances (Lauer) Kitzmann. She was educated at St. John's Lutheran School in Victor.
She and Arthur Schultz were united in marriage on February 15, 1920 at Victor. She worked in Moline, Illinois, after high school. The couple farmed near Deep River until 1958 when they retired and moved to Osage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 1978; her parents; three brothers, Carl, the Rev. Otto Kitzmann, and the Rev. Immanuel Kitzmann; two sisters, Marie Falb and Viola Koehn; three grandsons, Marvin Roorda, Alan and Nathan Schultz; and a great-grandson, Justin Spitz.
Survivors include two sons, rev. Arthur of Des Moines and David of Algona; three daughters, Mrs. A.G. (Leone) Dunkelberg of Osage, Mrs. Ray (Marilyn) Piepenbrink of Crete, Illinois, and Gertrude Roorda of Boone; and one sister, Rosina Kitzman of Peoria, Illinois; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
