Funeral services were held on Friday, April 12, 1985 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church for Mrs. Gaylord Lunde, 76, who died Tuesday, April 9, 1985, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage. Rev. Metzger officiated and burial was in the Rock Creek Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Ruth Hvattum Lunde was born on August 22, 1908, in Mitchell County to Thorsten and Randi Hvattum. She graduated from Osage High School and married Gaylord Lunde on February 22, 1937 in Osage. They farmed in the Osage area until 1967 when they retired and moved into Osage.
Survivors include her husband, Gaylord; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Sharon) Ellingson of St. Paul, Minnesota; one son, Glennys of Osage; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elmer (Helga) McGee of Mexico, Missouri; one brother, Henry Hvattum of Mason City, and her mother, Randi Hvattum of Osage.
