Caroline Christie Assorsen was born December 1868 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa, to Bertha Fjeld Thompson and Knud Knudsen Assorsen. She had three younger sisters: Louisa Anna (born abt 1870); Lisbeth Amelia (born/died 1876); and Clara L (born 1878).
She married Julius Olson 1892 at St Ansgar, Iowa. They had one son, Clarence Olson born July 5, 1892 (a World War I veteran). The family lived on a farm, Julius was a farmer.
Julius was born 1866, died 1953.
Caroline Christie died March 4, 1942 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa. All three of the family are buried at St Ansgar City Cemetery.

We found Caroline Christie Assorsen Olson in the 1870 through 1930 censuses at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Funeral services were conducted at the Schroeder and Houg mortuary Saturday, March 7, 1942 at 2:00 o'clock P.M. for Caroline Assorson Olson. Services were in charge of the Rev. Olaf A. Langehough. Burial was in the City cemetery.
Caroline Assorson Olson was born on December 15, 1868 on a farm two miles north of St. Ansgar, and was the daughter of Knut and Bertha Assorson. She was baptized by the Rev. C.L. Clausen and confirmed by the Rev. Johan Olsen.
September 5, 1891 she was united in marriage to Julius Olson in Minneapolis. Shortly after her marriage she and her husband moved to St. Ansgar, which has since been their home.
To this union was born one son, Clarence Oliver. She leaves to mourn: her husband, one son, one sister, Mrs. Peter Peterson of Canby, Minn., one half brother, Alfred Assorson of St. Ansgar, and her step-mother, Mrs. Knut Assorson.
Mrs. Olson had been in failing health for the past six years and passed away March 4, 1942 at her home, having attained the age of 73 years and three months.
