Edna Christine, the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Edlief Low was born the 15th of June 1887, in Mitchell Township and died at the home of her parents the 2nd of June 1915, at the age of 27 years, 11 months and 17 days. She was baptized at the N.L. Church by Rev. Johan Olsen in August, 1887. Her early girlhood was spent at home. In 1905 she went to Austin, Texas, where she remained over a year at the home of relatives. After her return from Texas she went to Meltonville and was there employed as saleslady for one year. From there went to Lake Crystel, Minn., spending eight yers in the employement of the Farmers Mercantile Co. She here proved herself to be an accomodating and efficient clerk, everyone loved to have her wait upon them.

She was known thruout the surrounding country, by old as well as young. It was to create a new home that she finally gave up this position and on the 27th of August 1913, she was married at Mankato, Minn., to Oscar G. Moe of Lake Crystal. They at once started housekeeping at Minneapolis and many a friend spent happy days visiting at their home. The 17th of February 1915 a baby girl, Eldora Jeanne, was born. But Edna was not to know the joy of taking care of her little one as she never regained her strength. All the medical aid available could not help her. She steadily grew weaker. Finally she wanted to come home and excitment buoyed her up and she was taken home 4 weeks ago to spend the last days with her parents. Her suffering was intense, but thru it all she was so patient-praying only to live for her baby.

The last few days, although unconscious at times, she had many brighter hours and would then have relaties sing and pray for her.

On Wednesday, the 2nd of June, she could not make herself understood and steadily sank until 8:45 in the evening, she quietly slipt away to her home Beyond.

Besides husband and baby daughter, father and mother, four sisters and three brothers, she leaves countless friends to mourn her early departure.

God alone in his infinite wisdon knows the reason she was called-just when life seemed to be filled with the most joy and happiness for her.

Services were conducted by Rev. M.E. Waldeland at the house at 9 A.M. and at the N.L. church at 10 A.M. on Friday. A quartette rendered her favorite selections, "Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Face to Face."

The remains were taken to Lake Crystal for burial, as this was Edna's own request. Services were also held at Lake Crystal on Saturday A.M. at 10 o'clock, after which she was laid to rest in the beautiful cemetery at this plaace. The floral offerings were many and friends from Minneapolis, Mankato, Estherville and surrounding towns were in attendance to pay a last tribute to a loved one, for Edna, with her winning smile and pleasing personality, was loved by all who made her acquaintance.
