Opal (Pearson) Carrison 1915-1985
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 7, 1985, for Mrs. Opal Carrison, 69, formerly of Osage and now of Cedar Falls, Iowa, at the Champion Funeral Home. The Rev. S. Brightwell, interim pastor at the First Baptist Church in Osage, officiated. Burial was in the Osage City Cemetery. Mrs. Carrison died on Thursday, September 5, 1985, at a Cedar Falls hospital.
Mrs. Carrison was born on November 15, 1915 in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Seth and Kate (Stuck) Pearson. She lived in Kansas and the St. Louis, Missouri areas for several years before moving to Mitchell County, Iowa. On December 16, 1947, she married Harold Carrison and the couple lived in the Osage area.
Mr. Carrison died in 1984. For the past 11 months, she had been a resident of Western Home in Cedar Falls.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Wilbur (Donna) Klingfuss of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Dennis (Linda) Burnett of Nashua, and Mrs. Judy Randall of Cedar Falls; two sons, Robert and Clint, both of Osage; four sisters: Mrs. George (Mildred) Hawthorne of Overland Park, Kansas; Mrs. Edna Reynolds of Effingham, Illinois, and Mrs. Alice Johnson of Fresno, Calif.; and ten grandchildren.
