SLAUGHTER, Olga 1901-1985

Funeral services Olga Slaughter, 84, of New Haven, who died Sunday, June 16, 1985, at anOsage nursing home, will he held on Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven. The Rev. John Gregory will officiate, and burial will be at St. Peter's Church Cemetery in New Haven. Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Olga Slaughter was born on June 9, 1901 to Anton and Serrianna Shellbutton Shern in New Richmond, Wisconsin. She graduated from New Richmond schools.

She and Robert "Red" Slaughter were married June 17, 1936 in New Richmond.

She worked in the New Richmond bank and the Friday Canning Company there. In 1947, the Slaughters moved to Black River Falls, Wisconsin, where they owned a feed mill. In 1950 they moved to New Haven. She also worked for Tyrholm Implement in Osage. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven. Since 1983, she had been a resident of the Faith Home nursing home in Osage.

Mrs. Slaughter is survived by a son, Robert of New Haven and four grandchildren: Linda Miller, John C. Miller, Erik Slaughter and Jennifer Slaughter.
