Nina Andersen was born March 21, 1896 near Meltonville, Newburg, Iowa to Hans Andersen and Gena Petersdatter. She was the ninth of their 10 children and was baptized soon after birth. She only lived two weeks, dying on April 4, 1896 at her parents home.

She supposedly was buried a few days later at the Deer Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery near Carpenter, Iowa. She does not have a headstone and family does not know where in the cemetery she is buried.

Her name does not appear on the Deer Creek Church Cemetery Listing at this web site. Her parents moved in 1898 to near Stanley, Ward, North Dakota to homestead and are buried there.
