DODGE, Ralph 1898-1985

Funeral services for Ralph Dodge, 87, a retired area farmer, were held on Saturday, June 29, 1985, at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage. The Rev. K. Hejnal of the United Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in the Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Dodge died on Thursday, June 27, 1985, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage.

He was born on February 10, 1898 in rural Orchard, to Emory and Elsie (Clark) Dodge. He attended rural Orchard schools. On January 28, 1920, he and Pauline Armstrong were united in marriage at her parent's home near Orchard. They farmed in rural Orchard until retiring in 1966.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline; one daughter, Mrs. Glen (Jean) Wetherell of Orchard; two sons, Corwin of Osage and Dale of Rochester, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Myrtie Pierce of Osage; and one brother, George of Eldon, Missouri.
