GOPLERUD, KUEHN, LAUGHLIN

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, 1985, for Elsa Goplerud who died in a Rochester, Minnesota hospital on March 3, 1985.

Rev. J. Nesheim will officiate and burial will be in the Osage City Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. at Chamption Funeral Home in Osage.

Elsa Kuehn was born on August 12, 1906, in Union Township, Worth County, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kuehn. She was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, and attended school in Grafton, graduating from Osage High School.

She married George Laughlin on September 25, 1927. They established their home in Osage where Mr. Laughlin operated a plumbing business and they raised six children. Mr. Laughlin died on May 8, 1960.

Elsa married Gerhard Goplerud on November 6, 1965, and continued living in Osage.

She is survived by three daughters: Ruth Stout, Windom, Minnesota; Lenore Olson, Charles City; and Alice Laughlin, Gaithersberg, Maryland; and three sons: Rev. Walter, Des Moines; Alvin, Long Beach, Calif., and James of Sacramento, Calif.
