BURIAL AT OSAGE CITY CEMETERY

IRENE A. BIDDICK

MASON CITY - Irene A. Biddick, 80 of 324 Second St. N.E., died on Sunday (Dec. 1, 2002) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E. in Mason City, with the Rev. Jeffrey A. Dahlin, officiating. Burial will be in Osage Municipal Cemetery in Osage.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral chapel.

Irene A. Biddick was born June 15, 1922, at Elma, a daughter of Joseph and Effie Mae (Simon) Weiland.

Irene especially loved visiting with her family and friends. She also enjoyed caring for animals.

She is survived by three daughters, Gertrude Courtney, of Milan, Mo., Geraldine Messner and her husband, Marvin, of Winthrop, Minn., Connie Bockoven and her husband, Ken, of Mason City; six grandchildren, John and Danny Campbell, of Missouri, Kim Moser and her husband Todd, of Morris, Minn., Sherry Prehn, of Mason City, Mike Prehn and his wife, Robin, of Garner; Matt Prehn, of Mason City; four great-grandchildren, Heather Moser, of Morris, Minn., Jordan and Autumn Prehn, of Garner, and Zachary Prehn, of Mason City; son-in-law, Roger Prehn, of Mason City; a sister-in-law, Dora Weiland; two nieces, Marge Ward and husband, Jim and family, of Mason City; Dorothy Davis and husband, Ron and family of Missouri; three step-grandchildren, Jesse Jones and husband, Chad and family, of Mason City, Aaron and Shane Biddick, of Mason City; two sisters, Florence Frahm and husband, John, of Wisconsin, and Jean Hinote, of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Franklin Biddick, George Korte, and Barney Mensik; an infant daughter, Ruby; three brothers, Oscar Weiland, Ray Weiland, Bernard Weiland; and a stepson, Steve Biddick.
