OBITUARY- Stickney

Mrs. Isabel Moore Stickney was born in Illinois January 16, 1853. She came to Iowa when but a girl and the larger part of her life was spent in Mitchell county of this state. She was married to Guy Stickney and to this union were born nine children, all of whom are now living. Her father served in the Civil war and gave his life to this cause of liberty and union for this country.

Mrs. Stickney had been suffering from poor health during the past three years and the end was not unexpected to herself nor to the relatives. She had made her home during these years with her daughter, Libbie in Charles City and had recently moved to Osage with her daughter's family. Her children cherish her memory as a mother, who tried to do her utmost for her family.

The funeral occured from the home of her daughter in Osage Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, in charge of Rev. Rolla E. Brown pastor of the Baptist church.

She leaves one brother, Ferdinand Moore, and one sister, Mrs. Ida Merriam of Butte, Montana. The children surviving are: Mrs. Minnie Mayor of Duluth, Minn.; George Stickney of Osage; Mrs. May Hood of Mason City; Bert Stickney and Mrs. Maud Brink of Minneapolis; Mrs. Pearl Davis of Everett, Wash.; Frank Stickney, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Mary Shoars, Mason City; and Mrs. Libbie Brunk, Osage, Iowa.
