Peter Larson was born June 23rd, 1849 at Lindelse, Langeland, Denmark. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in his home parish.
November 15th, 1873, he was married to Laurentine Carlson. This union was blessed with four children, of whom one died in infancy. The three living children are Charles Larson of Holloway, Minn., and Peter M. Larson and Anna Larson, both at home.
Mr. and Mrs. Larson came to America in 1880. After spending a year at St. Ansgar and Osage, they bought the farm southwest of Carpenter where they lived ever since. Mrs. Larson passed away July 15th, 1917.
Mr. Larson suffered a light stroke on October 28th, 1929, and he seemed to get better. But on January 20th, 1930, he was taken sick with bronchial pneumonia which left him in a very weakened condition. He failed gradually until the end, passing away peacefully on Monday morning, May 5th, 1930, at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 12 days.
Funeral services were held last Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Olaf A. Langehough. Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery at St. Ansgar.
