Funeral services held
for Melborne Larson
Funeral services for Melbourne Larson, Age 55, were held at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage on Tuesday afternoon, January 19. Melbourne died following a sudden attack early the morning of January 16th at his home in Mason City.
Melbourne Avery Larson, son of Elmer A. and Alice Lundene Larson, was born at Osage on January 28, 1926. he was baptized and confirmed at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church. he attended the rural school near his home and graduated from Osage High School in 1943.
He was united in marriage to Mary K. Comisky on March 15, 1955, at the Rock Creek Lutheran parsonage. They established their home on a farm near Rudd, which remained their home until retiring to Mason City.
He is survived by his wife, daughter and son-in-law Judy and Roger Gardner of Mason City, son, Alan of Owatonna, Minnesota, one grandson Corey, as well as three brothers, Leland of Emmetsburg, Kenneth and Donald of Osage, nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
