RETIRED FARMER OF MITCHELL DIESMitchell – L. L. Coon, 83, died at a hospital in Mason City Wednesday following two major operations. The body is at the Champion funeral home where rites are pending.
Mr. Coon was born in Wisconsin and came to this vicinity with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Coon, as a child. He was married to Anna Theresa Walter at Lyle, Minn., May 29, 1890, live on farms in Mitchell County for 6 years, then near Cresco, coming to Mitchell in 1937 where he since lived.
Survivors include 3 daughters; Mrs. William D. Robertson, Osage; Mrs. Martin Madsen, St. Ansgar; and Mrs. D. S. Williams, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Cal.; sons E. L. Coon, Marquette; and J. L. Coon, St. Ansgar; a brother, Frank, Ventura, Wis.; and 4 sisters, Mrs. William Hart, Gettysburg, S. Dak.; Mrs. Guy Elchon, Osage; Mrs. Cora Moran, Cedar Rapids; and Mrs. Belle Daub, Charles City.
