Death of J. J. Lynch
Mr. John J. Lynch died of paralysis in this city last Wednesday, January the 9th and was buried from his home on Main Street on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. W. S. Ralph of the Universalist church, conducting the services.
Mr. Lynch was born in Preston, England, November 25, 1844. He came to America in 1862. In 1879, he was married to Delia B. Tucker of Rockford, Illinois, who survives him. In 1880, they went to Denver, Colorado,making this their home until 1884, when the family came to Osage. Up to recent years Mr. Lynch has always worked as a skilled foundry man.
Besides his wife, he leaves of his immediate family, four children, two sons and two daughters, all occupying positions of trust and honor, the sons, Walter and Howard, are railroad employees, one daughter Maggie, is in the employ of one of our leading merchants, the other is a teacher in our country schools. Three sisters also survive and were present at the funeral.
The burial took place in the Osage cemetery.
