OSAGE, IOWA - Dawn Elizabeth Greeley, 64, of Osage, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at the Faith Home in Osage after a short battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with the Rev. John Moser officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage; a scripture wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Following services, cremation will take place with inurnment at a later date at the Osage Cemetery.
Dawn was born March 22, 1947, in Osage, the daughter of Daniel and Gloria (Creedy) Gilles. She attended schools in Adams, Minn. On Oct. 3, 1964, she married Richard Greeley, at Sacred Heart Church at Adams. Dawn was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Sacred Heart Guild in Osage. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, crocheting, stamping, and camping.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Richard Greeley of Osage; her daughter, Darcy (Mike) Betts of Osage, and children Tina Betts and Nicole Betts; her daughter, Ann (Alan) Hoisington of Osage, and children Jessica (Troy) Wickham and Julie Hoisington; her daughter, Jane (Wayne) Johnson of Dexter, Minn., and children Jeremy Johnson, Jamie Johnson and Jason (Katie) Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Drew Shimek, Aden Wickham, and Tait Johnson; her mother, Gloria Gilles of Adams, Minn.; six brothers, Colin (Connie) Gilles of Stewartville, Minn., Charles (Linda) Gilles of Adams, Minn., Clair Gilles of Austin, Minn., Dennis Gilles of Adams, Minn., Bob (Dawn) Gilles of Rose Creek, Minn., Brian (Chandra) Gilles of Adams, Minn., and one sister, Karen (Scott) Longueville of Austin, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Gilles; her great-grandson, Jayden Wickham; and a niece, Jody Gilles.
