Cora E. (Clason) Parkhurst 1857-1940

MRS. PARKHURST DIED AT HOME IN MITCHELL; RITES ARE THURSDAY

Mitchell – Mrs. Cora E. Parkhurst, 82, died Tuesday morning at the home of her son, G. H. Parkhurst, at Mitchell following a long illness.

Mrs. Parkhurst was born on a farm in Chickasaw County and had lived in and around Mitchell all her life with the exception of a few years spent in the west.

She was married in June 1889 to Arthur W. Parkhurst at Seattle, Washington who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons George H., Mitchell; Clason, Philadelphia, Pa.; and Clark of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren; George Parkhurst, Jr., Mitchell; and Mrs. Lucille Paulos, Lincoln, Nebr.

The funeral will be held Thursday at the Shelledy funeral home in Oage and burial will be made in the family lot at Osage. The Rev. H. F. Risse, will be in charge of the services.
