G. H. SHIPMAN OF MC’INTIRE DIES
FUNERAL SERVICES OF 80 YEAR OLD MAN TO BE HELD ON WEDNESDAYMcIntire – George Henry Shipman, 80, died Sunday afternoon of bronchial pneumonia.
He is survived by his widow, two children, one grandchild, Max Kellogg; two brothers, Elmer, of Montana; and Milo of Oregon; and one sister Mrs. Henry Kinter of McIntire.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist Church with the Rev. Mr. Bodenham of Riceville officiating
Burial will be at McIntire.Mason City Globe Gazette, Tuesday January 14, 1941

George Henry Shipman was born March 1861 in Michigan, the son of William H Shipman and Serviva Jane (Guild) Shipman. He married Bertha Luella Potter, the daughter of Bethul Potter and Deborah (Crouch) Potter. (1925 Iowa Census for parents names…1900 Census for birth date)
His wife died in 1961 and is buried in the Osage Cemetery where her parents are.#3
