AGED OSAGE RESIDENT DIED
PLAN SERVICES OF MRS BALSLEY, 80
Osage – Mrs. Julia Balsley, 80, died Thursday evening at her home here.
She came to Mitchell County in 1865 where she had lived since.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Opperman, Des Moines; Mrs. Robert Kuehne; two grandchildren, Osage; one brother, Frank Collier, Watertown, South Dakota.

Julia Amelia Balsley was born February 1859 in Wisconsin, the daughter of Ebeinetus Collier and Mary (Sudlow) Collier.
She married Wallace Alfred Balsley, the son of Alfred and Lucretia Balsley. His mother’s name might have also have been Hannah or maybe Hannah Lucretia. Census records have it both ways.
