HAROLD PRIEM DIES SUDDENLY
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT NORA SPRINGS ON SATURDAYNora Springs, March 19. – Funeral services for Harold Priem, 31, who died suddenly yesterday noon at his home, will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Evangelical church in charge of the Rev. Adolph Beyerman, who is pastor. Burial will be in Park Cemetery here.
Mr. Priem suffered a cold which, together with flu, resulted in an attack of heart disease. He was at the Rochester clinic last week.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Doris, 5, and four brothers and three sisters who are older than he was.

RITES HELD FOR HAROLD PRIEM
NORA SPRINGS MAN, FORMERLY WAS SUPERINTENDENT AT ZEARINGNora Springs, March 23 – Funeral services for Harold Priem were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church. His pastor, the Rev. Adolph Beuerman of the Evangelical Church was in charge assisted by the Rev. H. A. Temple of Waukon, who was a former pastor of Mr. Priem. Burial was in Park Cemetery.
Harold Priem was born January 21, 1900, near Carpenter. When a small boy he came with his parents to Nora Springs where he attended school and was graduated from high school. Following his graduation he took a course in technical arts at Iowa State College at Ames.
In 1921 he was married to Miss Marian Sherman of Nora Springs. He continued a year at Ames and then taught at Greely, during which time he took correspondence work and by attending summer school was graduated at Ames. For six years he taught at Greeley.
He accepted the position of superintendent of the consolidated schools at Zearing but was compelled to give up because of a nervous breakdown. He came to Nora Springs to live and after a year he began to write insurance.
Mr. Priem was a member of the Evangelical Church, was Sunday school superintendent and held other offices in the church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Boy Scouts attended his funeral in a group.
He leaves his wife and little five year old daughter, Doris, three sisters; Mrs. Emma Gerlach, Carpenter; Mrs. Rose Pribbenow; and Miss Emma Priem, Nora Springs; four brothers; Fred Priem, San Fernando, Cal.; Will Priem, Burlington, Wash.; Jake and Lincoln Priem, Carpenter.
