OSAGE, IOWA - Services for John Schultheis, 95, a former resident who died Tuesday at a Storm Lake nursing home, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Surivors include two daughters, Mrs. Maurice Robbins of Storm Lake and Mrs. Clarence Moore of Chicago; one son, Kenneth of Mason City, and several grandchildren.

Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

JOHN SCHULTHEIS
DIED AT STORM LAKE

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for a native of the New Haven, Iowa, area, John Schultheis, 95, who died July 20, at Storm Lake. Mr. Schultheis had been in failing health for the past two years.

Rev. W. Gjerde, pastor, was in charge of the rites at the United Methodist church. Local arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery, Osage, Iowa.

John Charles Schultheis was born on a farm near New Haven, October 27, 1875. He lived most of his life in Mitchell county and received his education in the schools here. In 1891, he moved with his parents to a farm one mile east of Osage.

On October 15, 1903, he was married to Rosa Thrams. They lived on various farms east of Osage and near Brownville. In 1942, they retired from farming and moved to Osage where he lived until 1961 when he went to make his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Robbins at storm Lake.

Mr. Schultheis was a member of the United Methodist church since he was a young man, and served as janitor of the church in Osage for five years.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Rosa; his parents; four sisters and four brothers.

He is survived by three children, Mrs. Ruth Robbins of Storm Lake, Mrs. Grace Moore of Chicago, Kenneth B. Schultheis of Mason City; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

DM Scott has his middle name as Charles. His parents as John George Schultheis (1838-1922) and Rebecca Ann (Hadder) Schultheis (1843-1928); and his wife as Rose Matilda (Thrams) Schultheis (1882 - 1957).
