Jeanita Virchow Patterson (1931-2011)

HUDSON, IOWA - Jeanita Virchow Patterson, 79, of Hudson, died Saturday, February 12, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Falls.

She was born May 23, 1931, in Osage, daughter of M. Dorland and Helen M. Jacobs Baker. She married William Virchow on May 21, 1950, in Osage. He died Sept. 12, 1997. She married Jimmie J. Patterson on Sept. 10, 2001, in Hudson.

Mrs. Patterson graduated from Osage High School and DMACC. She was a nursing home administrator for 25 years, including many years at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Hudson AMVETS Auxiliary and was past president of the Iowa AMVETS Auxiliary.

Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Vicki (Tom) Bicket of Reinbeck; two grandchildren, Timothy W. (Melissa) Bicket and Justin Kanfield; and a brother, Jon Dorland Baker of Lansing.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a daughter, Darlene Kanfield; and a sister, Delores Seeber.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial at Osage Cemetery, Osage. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
