OBITUARY-
ADAMS -- A Mass of Christian burial will be offered for Rose King at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholilc Church in Adams with the Rev. Gregory Leif officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. King, 85, of Adams, died Thursday (Oct. 16, 1997) at her home.
Rose Koenigs was born Aug. 20, 1912, in Meyer, Iowa. On Oct. 13, 1933, she married John W. King in Meyer. Her husband died in 1973. Mrs. King was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include six daughters, Gertrude Heimer of Stacyville, Iowa, Mary Ann (Mrs. Herb) Heimer of Adams, Evelyn (Mrs. Charles) Bimberg of St. Louis Park, Minn., Bernette (Mrs. Gerald) Willenbring of Anoka, Minn., Bernice (Mrs. John) Horn of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Diane (Mrs. Gary) Christie of Rochester; three sons, Ernest of Austin, Lawrence of Clear Lake, Iowa, and William of Rochester; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, four grandchildren, three sisters and a brother.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Adams Funeral Home in Adams where the rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. and there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Church and School.

Rose's maiden name was Wettstein. Her husband John W. King's was born January 13, 1905, the original spelling on his name was Koenigs.
She was the daughter of John Wettstein and Katherine (Koenigs) Wettstein.
Rose Wettstein and John W King (husband and wife) were also 4th cousins once removed.
