Stacyville - Funeral services for Mrs. Nick Krebsbach, former resident of Stacyville, who died at her home in Napoleon, N.D., were here MondayNee Mary Pitzen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Pitzen, pioneer residents of Stacyville, she spent her early girlhood in and near Stacyville, and was married to Nick Krebsbach.
She leaves husband, five sons and one daughter, Albert, Ray, Herbert, William, Frederick and Mrs. J. H. Gallahan, Napoleon; two brothers, Joe Pitzen and Fred Pitzen of Stacyville, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Blake and Mrs. Bertha Theobold, Stacyville
Tthe Krebsbachs moved from Stacyville in 1905 and farmed until a few years ago, when they retired.Waterloo, Courier, Monday, June 25, 1945

Mary Pitzen was born May 5, 1874 in Stacyville, Mitchell, Iowa, the daughter of Nicholas and Katherine (Halbach) Pitzen. She married Nicholas Krebsbach , the son of Mathias Krebsbach and Mary (Hemann) Krebsbach.
She and her husband were buried in the Visitation Catholic Cemetery, Stacyville, Iowa.
