Osage, Iowa – Funeral rites will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Osage Lutheran church for Mrs. Larine Peterson, 85, who died Tuesday in Mercy hospital at Mason City, having been hospitalized there the last three weeks.
She suffered a fractured hip from which she never recovered. She was the oldest member of the Osage Lutheran Ladies Aid, receiving a life membership pin this pat summer.
Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.
Nee Larine Tostenrud, she was born June 8, 1864, near Calmar, to Ingeborg and Lars Tostenrud. She moved with the family to Floyd County, then to Rock Creek, Mitchell County, in 1880. On December 15, 1912, she became the bride of Peter A. Peterson, in Osage, and established home here.
She leaves her husband. Preceding her were four sisters and one brother.

WILL BE TODAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Peter L. Peterson, 85, will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at the Osage Lutheran Church with Rev. T. P. Solem officiating. Burial will be made in the Osage cemetery.
Mrs. Peterson died on Tuesday, September 6, 1949, at a Mason City hospital, where she had been for three weeks following a fractured hip.
Lorine Tostenrud was born near Calmar, iowa, June 8, 1864, to Ingeborg and Lars Tostenrud. She was baptized by Rev. Paul Koren in early infancy. Later the family moved to Floyd county to make their home. She was confirmed on April 18, 1880, in a class of 14 by Rev. Mr. Olsen, at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church.
She was united in marriage on December 15, 1912, to Peter L. Peterson by the Rev. J.A. Urnes.
She is survived by her husband and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters and a brother.
