Rites Pending
for Lloyd Marr
at Riceville

RICEVILLE, IOWA — Funeral services are pending at the Conway Funeral Home, Elma, for Lloyd Marr, 59, who farmed south of Riceville.

He died Tuesday night at a Rochester, Minnesota, hospital, where he had been taken earlier
in the evening following a heart attack.

He was the son of Pete and Margaret Marr.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys, two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Jean) Irvin, Riceville; Mrs. James (Patricia) Kelliher, Minneapolis; four grandchildren; a brother, George, Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Matt (Bernice) Kelly, New Haven, and Mrs. Al (Eva) Winnemer, Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mildred.

Lloyd Marr Rites
Will Be Friday

RICEVILLE, IOWA — The Rev. Father Arthur F. Stirn will conduct funeral services in the Immaculate Conception Church here Friday at 9:30 a.m. for Lloyd Marr, 59. He died in a Rochester hospital Tuesday night. The wake will be in the Riceville Funeral Home with the Rosary to be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery here.

LLOYD MARR

Lloyd Aloysius Marr (June 6, 1899 - August 20, 1958) was born six miles south of Riceville where his parents, Peter John and Margaret Murphy Marr, farmed and made their home.

His sisters and brothers are Eva (Wynnamer), Mildred (Widholm), Bernice (Kelly), and George. The seven members of this family are now deceased. Lloyd farmed and married Gladys Hubbard on February 6, 1922, in McIntire, Iowa. . .

Their daughter, Jean Elizabeth, was born February 28, 1925. Jean married Dale Irvin March 5, 1946, in Riceville and farmed five and one half miles southeast of Riceville. Their children are: Carol, Lawrence and Scott.

Jean and Dale's children: Carol Jean Irvin was born February 17, 1949, now of Huxley, Iowa.
Lawrence Dale Irvin was born December 17, 1952, he married Clare Nosbush of New Ulm, Minnesota July 1, 1978. Their children are Jared (Dec. 5, 1979) and Bryan (Jan 14, 1981). The family lives in rural Riceville.

Lloyd and Gladys's daughter, Patricia Ann was born May 13, 1931. Her work took her to Minneapolis, Minnesota. On September 22, 1956, she was married in Riceville to James J. Kelliher, of St. Paul, Minnesota, who was associated with Northwest Airlines. Their children are: Mark, Denise, and Laurie.

Mark Patrick Kelliher was born October 7, 1957. He married Kathy Andersen of St. Paul, April 20, 1985, and they live in St. Paul. Denise Annette Kelliher was born May 25, 1961. She married Brad Alzen of Minneapolis April 23, 1988, and they live in St. Paul. Laurie Jean Kelliher was born December 28, 1962, now of Minneapolis.
