Hyllis Schwab
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 5, 1988 at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, for Mrs. John (Hyllis) Schwab, 61, of Osage. The Reverend Leon Connolly officiated and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Mrs. Schwab died Friday, July 1, 1988 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage, of natural causes.
She was born May 28, 1927, in Osage, to Gustav and Emma (Nelson) Krogstad. She attended Osage schools and graduated from Osage High School in 1945.
On October 9, 1948, she married John Schwab in Osage and they made their home in Osage.
Mrs. Schwab had been employed as a secretary at Washington Grade School, Osage, for many years until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant grandson.
Survivors include her husband, John of Osage; three daughters, Peggy Coonradt of Waterloo, Dell Borchardt of Nora Springs, and Karen Moore of Winona, Minnesota; six grandchildren; one sister, Eileen Whitaker of Osage; and one brother, Orril Krogstad of San Mateo, California.
