MRS. MARGARET MARR

Item #1:

Mrs. Margaret Marr, 69, died suddenly about 10 a.m. Monday of a heart attack at the home of her sister, Mrs. Joseph P. Hogan, 930 Conger Street, whom she was visiting. The fire department rescue squad was called and administered artificial respiration, but failed to revive her.

Mrs. Marr was born Margaret Murphy, October 24, 1877, in Howard County, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Ann Murphy. She lived most of her life in Riceville, Iowa.

Surviving are two sons, Lloyd and George, both of Riceville, two daughters, Mrs. Al Winnemer, River Falls, Minnesota, and Mrs. Matt Kelly, Osage, Iowa; four sisters; Mrs. Hogan, Miss Mary Murphy, also of 930 Conger Street; Mrs. John Thielen, Harlington, Nebraska; Mrs. Michael Thielen, Portland, Oregon; three brothers, Charles, Chester, Iowa, James, Elma, Iowa, and Ray, Farmington, Minnesota.

Her husband, one daughter, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

The body will be taken Monday afternoon from O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home to Conway Funeral Home at Elma.

NOTE: Margaret was the wife of Peter Marr, and burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Riceville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Marr, Riceville, lowa., who died Monday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Joseph P. Hogan, 930 Conger Street; will be in the Catholic church at Riceville Thursday morning at a time not yet definitely arranged. Burial will be in the Riceville Cemetery.
