Mrs. J. D. Bartlett
Ann Eliza Gallup was born in Brandon, Wisconsin on August 17, 1853, and departed this life at Osage, Iowa, on May 24, 1924.
On July 4, 1866, she came with her parents to Mitchell County, Iowa, where she has since resided, living at Orchard, Iowa, until 1904, when she removed to Osage, where she resided until her death.
On May 20, 1876, she was united in marriage to John Colby Bartlett, and to this union five children were born: Herbert G., of Osage, Iowa, Mary F. (now Mrs. J. M. Gilmore, of Lewiston, Idaho); Fay E., of Osage, Iowa; Lynn S., of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Ferne A. (now Mrs. I, M. Skuttle), of Osage, Iowa.
Her husband preceded her in death by seventeen years, but all her children survive and were present to ease and comfort her over the great crossing.
She is also survived by one brother, O. E. Gallup, of Osage, Iowa; and Mrs. Emma J. Elliott, a sister, of Santa Ana, California. Six grandchildren also will revere her memory.
Let it be said of her as a last tribute that she was a loving and affectionate mother and wife, and a kind and true friend and neighbor.
