FORMER RESIDENT OF MARYTOWN DIED IN MEYER, IOWA
St. Cloud: Jacob Theobald, 65, father of the Rev. John A Theobald, professor of mathematics at Columbia College, died suddenly following a stroke at his home in Meyer, Iowa, Friday afternoon. Mr. Theobald was born in Marytown, Wisconsin, and when he was six years old moved to Mitchell County with his parents.

On November 26, 1887, he was married to Miss Margaret Adams at Stacyville, Iowa. Mr. Theobald lived on a farm his entire life. He often visited in Dubuque with his son, the Rev. Theobald, who lived there several years as assistant at St. Raphaels Cathedral and professor at Columbia College.

The deceased is survived by three children, the Rev. John Theobald, Mrs. William Freund of McHenry, Ill; Mrs. N. Winkels of Meyer, Iowa. A daughter, Mrs. N. Goeser of St. Cloud, died within the past year. Three other children, Mrs. H Meyerhofer, of Meyer, Iowa; Alvin of Meyer, Iowa, and Martin, also preceded him in death.
